How is food related to your health
Our body has a sensible system that is able to relate to us when we should eat. Yet, we control what we eat and when.
I believe that we can eat anything, and there are times that we let hunger take over how and what we eat. For example, you come home after work or any activity and you are really hungry; the decision of what you will eat is not as urgent, as to what is available to eat. When you eat mindfully, you have a plan of what you want to eat, you listen to your body and eat according to what is good for you in a balanced way.
Emotional eating is usually used to soothe an uncomfortable feeling, the control you have over the food gives you satisfaction. Stress and anxiety will cause you to crave fatty or sweet food. In this way you satisfy the feeling instead of actually delving into the reasons you feel the anxiety; therefore masking it by eating.
How can you start changing the way you eat, and how you look at food?
Eat Breakfast.
Keep those fatty and sweet foods out of your home.
Portion food. Don't sit with a whole bag or container.
Use snacking in between meals.
Enjoy the time you eat. Take time to eat, keep it around the same time every day.
Eat to enjoy food, do not restrict your favorite foods, smaller portions.
When you feel hungry, eat.
In my nutrition plan: I will teach you how to portion.
